How it started
The Mostess began as a paper Entertaining Checklist in a household that loves to have people round. Every room to get ready, downstairs and upstairs, the hospitality to arrange beforehand and the jobs on the day. The list worked, but sharing it out, remembering who came last time and keeping track of allergies didn't fit on paper.
So the checklist became an app. The Mostess turns it into a shared plan for the whole household: set up the event, share out the jobs room by room, plan the menu and the wine, and build a guest book that remembers who came, what you served and how it went.
What we care about
- Calm hosting. Everything planned, so you can enjoy your guests.
- Your guests' privacy. Phone numbers and allergies never leave the phone they were typed into, and they're deleted once the event is over.
- No adverts. We never sell your information. The app is free to use, and donations help pay for running and developing it.
